Crossing Borders for Better Coffee

Growing up on the border between Canada and the U.S., cross-border shopping was part of the everyday experience. Canadians crossed for better pricing and selection, and Americans crossed with a thirst for different products and experiences. We learned early that borders can represent barriers to shared connection and prosperity.

We started Cross Border Roasters as an homage to that experience and are passionate about roasting great coffee. But great coffee starts long before we touch it: climate change, labor shortages and structural problems within distribution systems often strip the unique personality from the coffee that farmers and smallholders have worked hard to produce.

We want to change that. We only partner with importers who prioritize longterm relationships. Maintaining a transparent supply chain means traceable coffee that retains its integrity from plant to cup and enables farmers to continue producing great coffee every year.

We will have a consistently rotating menu of washed microlots and community lots, displaying exciting flavors and aromatics, roasted for maximum clarity and terroir.
